DAEDALOS - Dynamics in Aircraft Engineering Design and Analysis for Light Optimized Structures

The project aimed at determining dynamic load spectra for structural sizing to replace the relatively high conservative static loads counterparts.

In this project, VICOTER performed the experimental tests for Politecnico di Milano on composite stiffened panels.

 

DESICOS - New Robust DESIgn Guideline for Imperfection Sensitive COmposite Launcher Structures

The project aimed at developing numerical and experimental techniques to reduce design conservativeness in composite space launcher design.

In this project, VICOTER performed the experimental tests for Politecnico di Milano on four composite shells up to collapse.

 

GLAMOUR - Gust Load Alleviation techniques assessment on wind tUnnel MOdel of advanced Regional aircraft

The project aimed to optimize and experimentally validate, through an innovative wind tunnel aerodynamic model, a system to control the reduction of the burden load for advanced regional aircraft.

In this project, VICOTER performed the modal analysis on the carbon composite wind tunnel model. Specifically, modal tests were carried out both in the design phase, on individual parts of the model, in order to correlate the various manufactured components with the respective FEM models, and on the complete model, once installed in the wind tunnel in its final configuration.
